The San Diego Wild Animal Park is located in the San Pasqual Valley and is home to over 3,000 animals and 400 species. The
semi-arid environment and wide open area is perfect for the park's Nairobi Village theme. The park is also noted
for its California Condor breeding program.
Lake Hodges has 27 miles of shoreline and is ideal for hikers and campers because of its natural setting. The lake is also popular
to area fishers because of its large population of largemouth bass.
The California Center for the Arts is a 12-acre campus located in the heart of downtown Escondido. The campus features a concert
hall, a 400-seat theater, a visual arts museum, and art and dance studios. The Center has welcomed over one-million visitors
to its productions since opening in 1994.
